XLV international symposium on Physics in Collision

(click here for a higher definition poster)

The XLV international symposium on Physics in Collision (PIC) is a conference whose focus is to update key topics in particle physics in which new results have been published within the last year or are reasonably expected to be so before the symposium. The aim of the presentations is to encourage informal discussions of new experimental results and their implications. The topics at the symposium cover a wide range of physics subjects from experimental particle physics to astroparticle physics. Specifically, the meeting topics include electroweak phenomena, neutrino physics, QCD, heavy flavor physics, heavy ion physics, Higgs physics, astroparticle physics, gravity and cosmology.
The PIC symposium series began in 1981 in Blacksburg, Virginia, USA. The program of the symposium is composed of invited talks, contributed talks, and posters. Abstracts for contributed talks and posters having potential interest to the particle-physics community are welcome. This includes topics such as current experimental measurements, detectors, future experiments and facilities, etc., a broader range of topics than that of the plenary invited talks. Accepted posters will be displayed during the conference, and selected ones will be orally presented during the plenary session and their contribution will be included in the proceedings.
The XLV PIC symposium will take place in Quy Nhon, Vietnam, in the International Center of Interdisciplinary Science Education ICISE.

ICISE
Since 1993 the Rencontres du Vietnam , which is an official partner of UNESCO, has organised international scientific conferences and schools to foster exchanges between Vietnamese or Asia-Pacific scientists and colleagues from other parts of the world.

The construction of the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science Education (ICISE) in the city of Quy Nhon (Central Vietnam) will have the ambitious objective to focus on developing Science and Education, helping young Asian students and scientists to meet with the International Science community, bringing the opportunity to accelerate their knowledge from attending lectures and sharing ideas with overseas high-level counterparts.
