` Rencontres du Vietnam 2024: PASCOS
OVERVIEW

Founded in 1993 by Jean Trân Thanh Vân, the association Rencontres du Vietnam (http://vietnam.in2p3.fr/), a non-profit organization and an official partner of UNESCO, has as its objective the promotion of international exchanges between Vietnam and the international community, particularly in the areas of science and education. It also aims at the encouragement and integration of Vietnamese scientists into the international scientific community and at supporting the role of education and science by encouraging scientific awareness and stimulating passion for science in the younger generation. The Rencontres du Vietnam lies within the scope of two series of scientific meetings created by Jean Trân Thanh Vân : the Rencontres de Moriond (https://moriond.in2p3.fr/) in 1966 and the Rencontres de Blois (http://blois.in2p3.fr/) in 1989.

The creation of the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science Education (ICISE, http://rencontresduvietnam.org/) in the city of Quy Nhon (Central Vietnam) has the ambitious objective to focus on developing Science and Education by fostering exchanges between Asia-Pacific scientists and colleagues from other parts of the world.

PASCOS 2024: 29th International Symposium on Particles, Strings and Cosmology

The International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science Education (ICISE) will host the 29th International Symposium on Particles, String and Cosmology (PASCOS 2024) in Quy Nhon, Vietnam, 7-13 July, 2024.

The goal of this symposium is to review and discuss recent progress in particle physics, string theory and cosmology. Following important discoveries made within the last few years, including properties of neutrino mixings, the Higgs particle, and most recently gravitational waves, it is urgent to bring together theorists and experimentalists to discuss what has been learned and what might show up in the next few years. ICISE will provide an ideal setting for both established and young physicists to present new theoretical ideas and new experimental projects.

A detailed scientific programme is currently in preparation and this web site will be updated regularly. For any urgent information, please contact P.Q. Hung (email).

The conference will consist of in-person plenary sessions with both review and topical invited presentations, as well as parallel sessions with contributed talks selected among submitted abstracts. A special emphasis will be put on active participation of young researchers (PhD and early stage post-docs).

The conference will be covering the following topics:
- Neutrino Physics
- Dark Matter and Dark Energy
- LHC Physics
- Precision experiments
- Cosmology
- Strings
- New Accelerators and technologies
