Registration will start on Sunday August 6th in the afternoon.

The opening session is scheduled to take place on Monday August 7th at 8:30;

the conference will end on Saturday August 12th in the morning

Session hours are 8:30 - 12:00 and 13:30 - 16:30

Sessions of the conference will be held in the ICISE conference Center.

The following equipment will be available:

• video projector for computer presentations
• internet access will be available at the conference site.
  A wireless hub is installed and covers the whole conference building

For 2023, we can offer two possibilities of accommodation in a four star hotel : the Seagull Hotel and the ANYA hotel

All sessions will be held in the ICISE conference center, 10 minutes taxi (or one hour walk) away from the hotels. (you can visualize it on this map). Daily bus transfer (morning and end afternoon) will be provided by the conference organization.

Participants will be expected to arrive on Sunday August 6th, and will leave on Saturday August 12th in the afternoon.

Breakfast will be served in the hotels for all participants. Lunch and dinner will be served at ICISE (with few exceptions at a downtown restaurant).

Due to the unexpected high inflation, the announced (2022) cost of accommodation needs to be updated.

  The cost per person (full board for 6 days) will amount to 360 USD for a double or sharing room and 525 USD for a single room. Cost per additional day is 130 USD for a double room(2 persons) and 90 USD for a single room .
• For ANYA Hotel : Bloc DV3, Nguyen Trung Tin Street, Quy Nhon, Vietnam
  The cost per person (full board for 6 days) will amount to 375 USD for a double or sharing room and 555 USD for a single room. Cost per additional day is 140 USD for a double room (2 persons) and 95 USD for a single room.

Payment for board and lodging should be done online with Vietnamese currency VND on this site. The exchange rate is fixed to be 1 USD = 24 000 VND.

Important Note:
Hotel reservations are made for the whole duration of the meeting, i.e. from Sunday noon, August 6th to Saturday morning August 12th. Please note that the total cost of the meeting cannot be reduced even in case of partial attendance.

If you intend to arrive before Sunday August 6th or leave after Saturday August 12th, please let us know in advance so that we can try to make the appropriate hotel reservation for you: contact rencontres.vietnam@gmail.com

Please note also that if you arrive before midday and wish your room to be made available immediately, you will be charged for an extra day. You must inform us so that the hotel can prepare your room in advance.

TRAVEL

Important: Please make sure that your passport validity is at least six month after your return date (this may be contradictory with other rules, but this was imposed recently - in january - to a participant of another conference).

There are two main international airports in Vietnam : Hanoi (Noi Bai airport : HAN) and Ho Chi Minh (Tan Son Nhat airport : SGN).
As there are more flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Quy Nhon, it is more convenient to fly from foreign countries to Ho Chi Minh City than to Hanoi.

In order to welcome you and organize your transfert from Quy Nhon airport to the conference hotel, please inform the conference secretariat of your flight number as well as the date and the arrival time in Quy nhon.
Conference buses will be available at Quy Nhon airport on Sunday August 6 (morning and afternoon flights) and Monday August 7 (morning flights).

COVID

Vietnam is open again to international tourism from mid-march 2022. More information will be posted here if needed.

Immigration

All participants do require a visa to visit Vietnam, except for few exemptions listed below.

Vietnam Visa exemption is granted to holders of a passport from:

• Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia and Laos for visits of 30 days at the maximum.
• Philippines for visits of 21 days at the maximum.
• Japan, South Korea, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom for visits of 15 days at the maximum.
  This is valid until March 14, 2025.

To obtain a visa

• you may apply for a conference visa through the Internet: e-Visa
• 80 countries are eligible. Please check it carefully by consultin the official list.
• while filling up the form, on the item "purpose of entry" you should select "summit, conference"
• the e-visa is generally obtained in 4 working days and valid for 30 days. Beyond this delay, you should check your application status by following the instructions indicated on the e-visa application webpage.
• your passport should be valid more than 60 days after date of entry in Vietnam
• the e-visa cannot be renewed nor extended
• it costs 25 USD not refundable even when the visa is refused

• otherwise, to obtain a conference visa, you should first get a "visa approval letter": this has to be requested for you by the conference organiser. So you should ask for it as soon as possible, and this at the latest on July 1st, to the conference secretariat (it may take 2-3 weeks and will cost 120 USD to be paid at registration, the first day of the conference).
  Then you will be able to get the actual visa at your nearest vietnamese consulate (generally within a few days - 3 to 6)

The transfer should indicate clearly your name to identify the payee. Please inform the conference secretariat by fax or email that the transfer has been done. You should obtain proof of payment and hand it to the conference secretariat at the conference site. It will take at least four (4) weeks for our account to be credited, so please have the transfer made before July 6th, 2023.

Some limited accommodation funds may be available for young scientists. The application form for financial support should be filled in (including a short resume) and submitted. A letter of recommendation should be sent to:
